The Secretary Industries and Commerce, on December 11, 2023, held a meeting with the officials of the Business Facilitation Centre (BFC), Departmental Representatives and Departmental Focal Persons. Senior officials of the Industries & Commerce department including Additional Secretary Commerce Mr. Ijaz Munir, MD PSIC Ms. Sidra Younas and Director Strategic Policy Unit (SPU) Mr. Abu Bakar Salman also attended the meeting.
The Secretary Industries & Commerce conveyed directives of the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary to expedite applications received at the BFC. He also inquired about the deficiencies in application processing and subsequently brought them to the attention of the respective departments for their early resolution. BFC staff had also been directed to go an extra mile and contact those visitors whose applications were deficient and were advised to resubmit them.
