On January 23, 2024, the Secretary Industries & Commerce, Mr. Ehsan Bhutta held a comprehensive review session regarding performance of the Business Facilitation Centres (BFCs). Representatives from 18 departments, including key figures such as Mr. Ali Muazzam Syed, CEO PIEDMC, Mr. Zaki Aijaz Qureshi, Director of Roshan Packages, Mr. Abu Bakar Salman, Head SPU, Mr. Abubakar Zubair, DS Commerce and Program Manager PITB Mr. Umer Mirza attended the meeting.
The Manager of BFC delivered a presentation encompassing performance statistics of the BFCs in five districts. Various aspects related to the applications and experts opinions were deliberated and directions were issued to the PITB for inclusion of certain features in the BFC application. Concluding the session, Mr. Ehsan Bhutta acknowledged the outstanding performance of the top three departments (i.e. FWF, Energy and Live Stock). In recognition of their achievements, the Secretary presented them appreciation letters as well. The Secretary extended his appreciation to Mr. Abu Bakar Salman, Director SPU, Mr. Abubakar Zubair, DS Commerce, Mr. Umer Mirza, Program Manager PITB, and Mr. Abid Saleem, Manager BFC Lahore for their instrumental establishing and operationalizing BFCs.
