The Consul General of Turkiya Mr. Durmus Bastug met the Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce, Punjab, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain on March 28, 2024. The Consul General congratulated Mr. Shafay Hussain on assuming the charge of Minister for Industries & Commerce. The meeting dwelled upon exploring avenues of bilateral trade and investment. Mr. Durmus Bastug apprised the Minister about the Turkish investments in Pakistan.
The Minister for Industries and Commerce urged that the Turkish companies should install solar panels, electric vehicles and waste-to-energy plants in Punjab. Turkish companies should take advantage of the investment opportunities in various sectors of Punjab and the government would provide all possible facilities, he added. Mr. Shafay also apprised the Consul General about opportunities of mutual cooperation in harnessing the Technology Education in Punjab.
