The Minister for Industries & Commerce Mr. S.M. Tanveer presided over a meeting of Business Facilitation Centre. This initiative of the Government of the Punjab aims at minimizing business entry barriers by automating the licenses, and NOCs required for starting up or expanding businesses.
The Secretary Industries & Commerce while explaining various facets and contours of the impending initiative revealed that a dedicated team will be deployed at the Business Facilitation Centre for guiding and facilitating of the business community in obtaining the requisite licenses, NOCs and permits etc. form various departments of the Government of the Punjab. He also mentioned that two committees including a high level steering committee has been proposed for spearheading the initiative.
The meeting was participated by the presidents of leading Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Senior Officials of the Industries Department, Punjab Information Technology Board and other concerned. The representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry appreciated the initiative and said that the same would help improve ease of doing business in Punjab.
