CM Punjab, Mr. Mohsin Ali Naqvi and the Minister for Industries and Commerce Mr. S.M. Tanveer held a meeting to review various facets of the BFC. The CM urged to complete the remaining activities on priority basis and that the BFC should be inaugurated by the 1st week of December, 2023.
Given the similar nature of job description of the Investment Facilitation Cell (IFC) of the Chief Minister Office, the CM directed to hand over/transfer the IFC staff to the BFC. The proposals rendered by the Secretary Industries & Commerce regarding nomination of focal persons by the concerned departments, process mapping of NOCs/processes (through PITB), finalization of ground floor of PSIC as head office for the BFC, development of knowledge portal and process flow by the PITB, signing of SLA between the participating departments/organizations, formation of operational review and steering committees for BFC had also been approved by the Chief Minister in-principle.
