The Secretary Industries & Commerce headed a meeting to review operational readiness of the Business Facilitation Centre. Senior officials of the Industries & Commerce Department including Additional Secretary Commerce, Mr. Zohaib Mushtaq, MD PSIC Mr. Asim Javed, Director SPU Mr. Abu Bakar Salman and Deputy Secretary Commerce Mr. Abubakar Zubair participated the meeting. Representatives of the concerned departments also attended the meeting.
PITB officials briefed about headway being made by them as regards finalization of BFC’s technology stack including the Knowledge Hub, Software Application and Website. Whereas, the MD PSIC informed about the progress of infrastructure development. Representatives of PBIT & IFC presented the communications strategy for the BFC.
The Secretary directed the representatives of concerned departments to submit any pending RLCOs to PITB and to nominate focal persons, on a priority basis. He also directed PITB to fast track development of technology stack for the BFC for its finalization before first week of December 2023. Concerned departmental officials have also been advised to develop communications collateral for facilitation of the intended audience.
