Industries and Commerce Department formally kick started training programs for staff of the Business Facilitation Centre. On the first day, all staff members, focal persons and departmental representatives were given hands on training on how to efficiently use the technology stack of the BFC. The participants were also trained on customer service and other soft skills.
The Secretary Industries in his opening remarks apprised the participants that this initiative was initially conceived encompassing a limited number of departments, however, for the ease of the business community, its horizon has now been expended to seventeen departments. He also mentioned that the infrastructure work has almost been done, whereas, the PITB team was also working day and night to finalize its technology stack.
He also mentioned that the initial timelines for the completion of this project were spanned over several months, however, due to zeal and zest of the Industries Department, this task would be achieved in a short span of one month only. We anticipate its inauguration in the first week of December 2023, he added.
