Punjab Tianjin University of Technology (PTUT), Lahore 

  • The Ordinance (XVI of 2017) for establishment of the PTUT, Lahore was promulgated by the Governor of the Punjab on November 17, 2017.
  •  The Act of PTUT, Lahore was passed from  the Punjab Assembly in March, 2018  (Act XI of 2018).
  • Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology (MCKRUT), DG Khan 
    • The Act of MCKRUT, DG Khan was passed from  the Punjab Assembly in March, 2019  (Act X of 2019).

Punjab University of Technology (PUT), Rasul, M.B. Din 

  • The Act of PUT, Rasul, was passed from  the Punjab Assembly in May, 2018  (Act XXIII of 2018).

Actions Taken in Favor of PTUT, Lahore  

  • Appointment of Vice Chancellor.   Notification to this effect has been issued on 10.10.2019
  • Constitution of Syndicate.  Notification to this effect has been issued on 23.07.2019.Insertion in Punjab Government Rules of Business, 2011
    • Notification to insert the PTUT, Lahore as an autonomous body of ICI&SDD, in the Punjab Government Rules of Business, 2011 has been issued on 05.03.2019.
    • Adoption of Service Statutes of UET, Taxila  Notification to this effect has been issued on 24.02.2020.
  • Relaxation of Ban for the recruitment of the Staff of PTUT, Lahore
    • The Standing Committee of Cabinet on Finance & Development in its 42nd meeting held on 26.09.2020, was pleased to relax ban on recruitment of the staff of PTUT, Lahore. In pursuance of the said decision, the recruitment of the staff of PTUT, Lahore is in process

 Actions Taken in Favor of MCKRUT, DG Khan and PUT, Rasul, M.B. Din

  • Appointment of Vice Chancellors of MCKRUT, DG Khan & PUT, Rasul, M.B. Din, 
    • Hiring of Vice Chancellors of both universities  is under process
  • Insertion in Punjab Government Rules of Business, 2011
    • Insertion of MCKRUT, DG Khan and  PUT, Rasul, M.B. Din as autonomous bodies  of ICI&SD Department in the Punjab Government Rules of Business, 2011 has been approved by the Standing Committee of Cabinet on Legislative Business in its 33rd meeting held on 10.09.2020. Accordingly, the case has been referred to the Cabinet Wing of S&GAD for issuance of Notification 
  • Adoption of Service Statutes of UET, Taxila,  Summaries for the Governor Punjab/ Chancellor in this regard have been initiated
  • Constitution of Syndicate. Letters have been issued to the Commissioners, DG Khan & Gujranwala to furnish nominations of eminent  persons in the field of technology. As and when the same will be received, a summary for
